TabTrade - The Short Version
TabTrade.com went live in Q1 2026. Online broker registered in Saint Lucia, under the FSRA. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, an New Zealand-regulated broker.
His background is relevant. It says the person running this is not figuring it out from scratch. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. Still more reassuring than someone with no brokerage experience.
TabTrade came out of the gate with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same data centres banks and hedge funds use. Most new brokers focuses on ads and sign-up promos. TabTrade went the other way. Unusual for a new broker.
The instrument list: FX, stock indices, gold, silver, commodities, equities, crypto, ETFs. 1,000+. For something this new, that range is solid.
What You Trade On
Available: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and a WebTrader. Two major platforms from a single account. Most brokers pick one platform. Access to both is useful. Use whichever you prefer.
MT5 is the industry standard. Full charting, automated trading, tons of scripts and indicators. If you have traded on MT4 or MT5 before, you know exactly what you are getting.
cTrader is the more modern one. Cleaner order book. Smoother chart interaction. Native automated trading. A lot of traders find it more natural after using both.
FIX API is available for automated strategies but needs the VIP tier ($25,000 deposit). TradingView is reportedly coming. That would be a good addition when it lands.
Accounts and Pricing
Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. 1.0 pip spreads. No commission. Simple. No minimum deposit. Works for anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge account. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 each way. Total cost: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On majors, the raw spread is frequently under 0.2 pips. Meaning your actual cost per trade can sit under half a pip. That is good for a broker with $0 to start. Most brokers that offer pricing like this require a minimum deposit. TabTrade has no minimum.
VIP. $25,000 deposit required. FIX API, execution under 20ms, custom pricing. Not relevant to most retail traders. Skip it unless you move real size.
Execution Speed
The speed is where this broker separates from most new launches. Equinix servers in London. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. These are not marketing fluff. Most retail brokers run 100ms to 300ms.
Should you care? If you scalp, absolutely. The difference between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is catching the move or missing it. If you trade higher timeframes, you will not notice. The point is they invested in proper execution. That signals something about priorities.
Pair that execution speed with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and the total package is strong. Not many platforms with no minimum deposit run Equinix connectivity.
The FSRA Question
Now, the detail that matters. Tab Trade is licensed by Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is tier-3. No ASIC. No investor compensation scheme. If the lack of tier-1 regulation makes you uncomfortable, this broker is not for you. Plenty of FCA-regulated options out there.
That said. The person running it came from BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The server placement is not cheap. Dodgy operations do not pay for Equinix connectivity. That does not replace tier-1 regulation. It does inform your assessment.
The deal: no FCA or ASIC safety net. For that: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether this deal makes sense comes down to your priorities.
The Bonus
Tab Trade runs bonus funds of up to $2,000. Standard sign-up bonus. You put money in, TabTrade add bonus funds. The normal fine print: trading volume requirements before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Check the terms before you commit.
